Congratulations to former IUP Cyclist, and now IUP Cycling Team advisor, Steven Brewer, who has set two new track records at the Pittsburgh Cycling Oval, governed by the Allegheny Cycling Association. Brewer's records are in the 1/2 mile standing start, 1 lap, in 55.59 seconds at 32.38 mph, and in the 1/2 mile flying start, 1 lap, in 54.52 seconds at 33.01 mph. These new marks were set on June 10, 2011. The previous holder for one of these records was former UCI Pro Joe Papp. The list of track records for the Pittsburgh Cycling Oval can be found here.
